
Are you interested in nature and sustainable way of living? Join us for our NATIVE Youth Exchange in Ulfborg, Denmark, a five-day immersive experience where you will connect with other motivated young Europeans, learn from each other and collaborate.
When?
12/10/2019 – 18/10/2019 (including travel days)
What will you get out of it?
You will (re)discover nature in another way. You will learn about a sustainable way of living and how to find edible products in the forest, collect them in sustainable way, prepare, cook and enjoy. You will then share this knowledge with guests, make an herbarium, videos, pictures and more!
Who can participate?
Residents in Denmark, Latvia, Italy, Spain or United Kingdom.
-18-25 years old,
-Able to communicate in English,
-Motivated to collaborate and participate in all the project activities,
*We also look for six persons as volunteers helping in the kitchen during the exchange. There are no age or residence restrictions for this group.
Objectives
– To learn about edible forest products and their benefits, and their traditional uses across Europe;
-To develop knowledge and skills around the theme of using products from nature and traditional knowledge in Europe;
– To understand the theory and practice of using products from forests;
How will it work?
The methods used will be visual presentations, group work, group discussions and brainstorming, walks in the forest and
food/cooking meeting with local students and citizens.
Request from the participants
We expect participants to play an active role throughout the entire project, in line with their capabilities and needs.
Before the starting date, participants will be in contact (Skype meetings, emails and Facebook group) to ensure that they are prepared.
