Visiting us for a Preparatory Weekend

The Preparatory Weekend is a 3 day programme where prospective students are invited to come and experience the common life in DNS and get a deeper understanding of the programme and the college.
During the days you will have a chance to involve yourself in running the school together with the students and teachers, get a thorough presentation about our school centre and the programme, take part in the daily chores, studies, evening programmes and the many meaningful discussions in between. Some of the preparatory weekends are combined with camps and events at our school and therefore they are longer.

7-9 of August

7-13 of September – The preparatory weekend will be in combination with our yearly sports event – Tvind OL

2-4 of October

13-15 of November

Why do we have preparatory weekends?

To join the DNS programme is a big commitment, therefore we want you to get well informed about the way we run the school and the way we learn. By having such an experience it will help you to make the right decision, for the right reasons. It will also show us if you are ready to make such a commitment and are both mentally and physically fit for the programme.

How much does it cost?

The Participation fee is € 50, which covers your accommodation, food and programme expenses.

How do I sign up?

Before you take part in the weekend you should – Have a consultation over Skype with a DNS admission officer. You can book a free consultation with our admission officer (who is also a graduate of the programme) anytime via the button below.

You will meet the faculty, the teachers, some of your future teammates, the students who are currently in the programme and people from the different school units at the Tvind campus. You will participate in whatever activities are happening that weekend, to get a feel of the community life: cooking, sports, gardening actions, walks on the beach or evening programmes…

You will learn about and discuss the different stages of the programme. There will be presentations about the teaching and learning, the curriculum, the common life, the fees, the common economy and the frames.  You will travel through the education in your mind, and have the opportunity to realise, if DNS is for you. If you decide to enrol, your admission interview will be carried out during this weekend as well.
