Become an inspiring educator

Our 4-year programme aims to train global citizens and proficient educators who can act to meet the challenges of the future

Tired of traditional education?

Are you sick of…

Q

One-size-fits-all education

Have you ever felt like nothing but a number, in class? Do you find it difficult to see the relevance of what you study?

Q

Memorization and exams

…instead of critical thinking and actual self-growth and development.

Q

No real-life experience

Traditional education often neglects practical skills and learning in real-world situations.

Q

Competitive environment

Traditional education often overlooks the importance of social and collaborative skills. It can easily make you feel lonely and isolated from others!

Well… studying should not be like that. Right?

Chances are, you probably already know all of this and decided to complement your formal education by travelling, volunteering or other hands-on experiences. Props for that!

Though you might have noticed, it is not easy to navigate your education on your own
If you have ever wished to be together with others about learning in a practical way about the world and yourself, we have a programme that combines all of this!

Our programme is all about…

Learn to travel, travel to learn

Experience-based Learning

Together with your teammates, you will take ownership of your learning — acting as the driving force of your own education. This means that you will learn by travelling and exploring the different realities of people in Europe and globally. You will start the programme with a 4-month bus journey to Western Africa as a study project.

A Collective Approach

At our campus, in Denmark, you will live, work and study collectively. Here, students and teachers make decisions and run the college together. You will be part of a community, and gain friendships for life with students from over 20 different countries.

Hear from our Graduates

Ermes from Italy

“This education is much more than becoming a teacher. It is an education for life. I didn’t even wish to become a teacher before joining. But i gained another perspective of a what a teacher is and can do.”

Marina from Spain

“When I was about to graduate I was confused about what to do. Some wondered if it was because there were no options, but it was because I could think of 1000 options and I knew all of them were real options.”

Ausrine from Lithuania

“DNS was a turning point in my life. I learned about myself, the world and most importantly how to work in a team. My teammates will remain close friends for the rest of my life.”

Elo from Estonia

“I constantly use the things I learned at DNS. The studies are really political, so it gives a much better perspective of how the world works and brings you much closer to what we should teach the kids in school”

Louise from Denmark

“At DNS I learned how to bring my ideas and visions to life – both as an individual and as part of a community. I don’t think about WHAT is possible but HOW I can make it possible. It’s just one of the things DNS taught me, but it is one of the skills that really define my life”

Milo from Italy

“DNS taught me that a teacher is not just a conveyer of knowledge, being a teacher means supporting people to learn, to grow and constantly challenge yourself and others. I use this lesson every day regardless of whether I am in a classroom”
