Transparency of leadership and economy

DNS The Necessary Teacher Training College (Det Nødvendige Seminarium) is an Independent Non-Profit Institution (Den selvejende institution) and as a focus offers a 4-year educational programme. On top of this DNS offers diverse short courses.

About structures and leadership of the college

At DNS Denmark, operating since 1972, we place a strong emphasis on openness and clarity in all decisions that affect our College. The leadership is structured around a board of directors and a headmaster that lead the school who ensure that decisions are guided by both our values and the official state guidelines.
Besides the above mentioned leadership, the everyday life of the school is shaped by both teachers and students. We participate in shared decision-making forums and take collective responsibility for the educational programme and practical tasks that support the running of the college. This means that everyone has a voice and a role in making DNS work well day by day.

About transparency of economy at the college

All expenses of the college and each team are carefully documented and accounted monthly and reviewed by an external auditor. The financial matters connected to student activities are managed by the students in the team and supervised by the team teacher. In this way everyone has insight into how resources are used. This approach helps us create a school environment where trust, accountability, and collaboration are a natural part of everyday life.
