How does it work?
Why travel to learn?
We believe that learning by traveling is one of the most fruitful methods of broadening perspectives, developing critical thinking and raising curiosity. This travel camp is an opportunity for you to immerse yourself in a new culture, experience the country’s vibrant realities firsthand. On top of this you will learn about the pressing global issues of our time: such as climate change, colonialism, social justice and more. This journey is not a tourist trip, it is an educational travel with a hands-on approach.
Why travel together?
Traveling as a group offers a powerful way to learn through shared experience. When we journey together, we exchange perspectives, make collective decisions, and support one another in facing new challenges. Rooted in DNS’s value of collectivity, being together means you take collective ownership of the learning experience and carry responsibility for the group’s dynamic and outcomes. Simply put, you become teachers to each other and the world becomes your classroom.
What will you get out of it?
Teamwork – Learn to make decisions, solve problems, and support one another while traveling as a group.
Global perspective – Gain insightful first-hand experiences about complex topics.
Personal growth – Step out of your comfort zone, adapt to new situations, and grow in confidence and resilience.
Community & connection – Form lasting bonds through shared experiences and collective learning.

Our aim with the travel
DNS has been conducting educational bus travels to Africa and India for over 50 years and has developed unique methods and experience in using traveling as a way of learning. This camp is about passing on the methodology and experience to curious minds and future educators (Note: we consider that everyone is a teacher at heart) to practice this methodology. While this travel is not going to happen by bus, we still plan to use the methodology of DNS and want to inspire and give the possibility for people to be moved through an experience-based approach to learning.
What will you do?
The whole 5-weeks long project will start in our campus in Denmark. In the first week we will prepare ourselves for the journey. We are then going to spend around 3 weeks in Morocco, traveling and learning as much as possible from the people we meet on our way though a method called “field investigations”. We will then travel back to Denmark and spend a few days in the DNS campus reflecting on our experiences. Sign up for an info package to get a more detailed overview of the programme.
