How do we find more people to join DNS ?

The need for good teachers who are capable of educating the new generations is big. The task of the promotion office at DNS is to inform people all over Europe about the DNS Education and the Volunteer Programs for working in Humana People to People Projects Through a variety of means many people will hear about the opportunities to become teachers or development instructors, DIs. Everybody stands the chance to contribute to the welfare of people in this world and make a difference for some. No matter what their ethnic origin, professional background, gender, nationality, religion, age, or economic status is. As long as the will for change and hard work is there, anything is possible.

In DNS we do promotion, like all other things together. The teachers and students work together as a team to inform as many people as possible about our teacher training program. We have a small group working constantly with promotion and then additionally we involve all the DNS students in weekly actions , promotion weekends etc.. Most of our DNS students joined the program, because they have met somebody who has been or is at the moment in DNS.

So, to have good references is the best way to find more students to come and start their education at DNS.

Examples of Promotion Tasks:

  • Place Internet adverts on various web pages and job databases/Web updates/Social medias etc.
  • Individual students give TV-Radio-Newpaper interviews
  • Production of promotion materials: posters, flyers, booklets , essay collections, articles for the website etc.
  •  Make mailing actions – give all necessary information to people who enquire about the programs
  •  Organize exhibitions, street agitation, presentations in schools, information meetings in different countries
  •  Students invite friends and family members for “Tupperware” meetings in their home countries and so on.

To promote DNS is part of the DNSers responsibility areas and implemented in the weekly running of the school.
