Specializations and curriculum subjects during the first year:

1. Universal Understanding (440 hours)
- Understanding the Universe and the Earth
- Understanding the different Academic Subjects
- Universal History
- Human Beings, Nature and Development
- Sources of Knowledge

2. Specialization I (260 hours)
The students choose and form groups around the following subjects: Global Warming and Climate Change, Fighting with The Poor, World Politics, Physics & Chemistry, Biology, Open Future, World Media.

3. English (80 hours)
Studying on the countries of Africa in English, practicing the language on a daily basis during the travel, writing reports.

4. Action Research (220 hours)
The bus group plans and carries out one or several Action Research Projects in one or several countries, the conclusions are made public as part of the research work.

5. Educational Investigation (100 hours)
Formulate a title of a burning or developmental issue to investigate in a 3rd world country, write a thesis.

6. Life Style Sustainability (80 hours)
Practicing and studying to be well, well being and living well, including garden farming, health and longevity.

7. Specialization II – Polyhistor (40 hours)
Studying especially the history, present and future of production, economy, politics and the European labor movement. Preparing and holding speeches for debates with work mates and neighbors. 

8. English or other languages (40 hours)
Studying in English or other language. Reading and listening to news, as well as seeking out people to practice the language.
